🧪 Phase 1: Launching a DTC E‑Commerce for Peptides

Objective:
Create a consumer-ready Webflow e-commerce store offering peptide supplements directly to customers.

Challenges:

  • Regulatory compliance: Peptides occupy a legal gray zone. The FDA regulates many synthetic peptides as drugs—not supplements—and has issued 17 warning letters to vendors selling unapproved peptide therapies for weight-loss or research use. DTC sales encountered barriers with labeling, permissible health claims, and risk of misbranding under FD&C Act .
  • Technical constraints: Need a flexible yet secure stack capable of handling cart, payments, CMS, and eventual user login.

  • Branding: Logo, color palette, visual identity
  • Label + packaging design: Clean, compliant labels meeting FDA supplement labeling guidelines

A fully functional Webflow store enabling purchase of peptide products with a streamlined checkout flow and on-brand design—despite regulatory caution, the site remained transparent, labeled for research-use only, and avoided health claims to reduce FDA risk.
